Architects

Guernsey Digimap have a special set of data available to architects and surveyors, in addition to people wishing to make IDC applications.

The data is in AutoCAD's DWG format which can be read by almost all CAD programs.

The data contains many layers of data which enables users to 'switch on and off' items as required.

The architects who are licensed to use the data find it invaluable. Instead of starting with a blank sheet of paper, you can start with a detailed map of the area.

The AutoCAD format data (DWG) has been of great assistance to those architects who use it.

Many of the architects in Guernsey now annually subscribe to the AutoCAD format data of the Island of Guernsey and find it most beneficial.

Advocates

Digimap developed a system specifically for the advocates and focused on the Conveyancing of properties. Peter Atkinson of Collas Day was the first advocates office to take the system and have found it to be invaluable. It is now used by all the top advocates firms in Guernsey.

The advocates system contains all the normal base layers, including the land parcel data and the cadastre number for all the properties. The mapping data they have is identical to the Cadastre records. The advocates system also contains a number of other specialist items of data to assist with the conveyancing process. Digimap have developed a special 'front end' to make the system as user friendly as possible.

The orthophotos have also proved to be invaluable.

One major benefit to Guernsey of the advocates using the system have been the improvement in the drawings produced by the firms when a conveyance takes place. The process has improved immensely due to the fact that the system is now based on maps which are accurate and to scale.
Jersey

Digimap also has a system that is used by a number of Jersey based advocates.
