GIS Business Manager

Digimap are the business partner of the States of Guernsey for the promotion, sale and support of the States of Guernsey Mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

The role of GIS Business Manager is very varied, providing initial advice and guidance on mapping based solutions, installation and training, followed by onsite support to ensure the customer is happy and maximises the benefits of using GIS.

There is a vacancy for this unique and interesting position which requires the following skills

• Good IT skills and knowledge of networks (programming is not required)
• Excellent communication skills
• Presentation skills

An interest in maps, geography, local history and landscapes would also be useful.

Full training will be provided and the applicant will work with the GIS Business Director.

The position would suit a graduate, school leaver or someone who would like a change of career and would like to have a really interesting and unique job.
