Low tide - note the steep ramps compared to a later picture

Pontoon 3 - the visitors pontoon

The Marina Office - the Harbourmaster is very helpful. Speaks a little English

Beware berthing at half tide - there is quite a tide - especially towards the end of the pontoons. Best moor near low or high water when the direction of the river flow is changing

Facilities for the inner marina

High tide - inner marina. Ramps much better.

Lezardrieux is a great place. A lovely trip up the Trieux river, fairly easy navigation with a Chart Plotter, and a non tidal "marina". Some tide flows through the pontoons so best approach around high or low water - but nowhere near as bad as Treguier.
Harbourmasters office is at the top of the visitors pontoon. He tends to stay in there so best moor and then go and see him. Very helpful but does not speak much English.
Facilities are OK. A bit dark and a jeton needed for the showers. Report from Sept 2010 - I really don't like saying this because Lezardrieux has my favourite Restaurant, the Auberge du Trieux, but the Marina facilities are really starting to get a bit grim. The gents showers had a coat of paint early in the season but nothing else has been done.
In early September 1 of 3 toilets was out of action and 1 of 3 urinals. The Ladies facilities are in a similar state & no sign of a paint brush. Phil Report from August 2011 - The Marina 'facilities', incidentally, remain miserable!
Phil I have been told visitors can go in the marina part of Lezardrieux, but best ask first. There is a "shortcut" path from behind the boat works which comes out behind the church.

If you leave around half tide going up, motor boats will have a good following tide all the way back to Guernsey.

Restaurants - LEZARDRIEUX *** Auberge du Trieux: Tel: 2 96 20 10 70. Very good value - good seafood menu, reasonable wine list. Service good. Great ambiance. Owner has won many rosettes for excellence.
Greg said he had an excellent meal there - Sept 2009 -

2011 report - good meal, food is fancy, gastronomique and not the place to go for plain steak and chips, sea-food etc.
Le Moulin de la Galette Very convenient - just at the start of the hill to the village of Lezardrieux. Serves good Crepes with quick service. Has a few other items on the menu including Entrecôte and frites. Visited again in August 2009 - another great meal

"Le Marina" restaurant/hotel is now open once more serving snacks (2010). There are five bedrooms (its the one on the right as you head towards the hill to the village, opposite the boat yard). It has been closed a few years. The Yacht Club used to be good with drink and food together with English speaking staff.
However, a report from August 2011 said, "Six of us ate there one night - some had virtually finished their main courses before the others were served. Moules Frites was OK but steak frites was dreadful.
The house white wine was barely drinkable. Go to the nearby "Le Moulin de la Galette" for the same money and you'll eat far better." Let me know if it improves!
Taxis Best taxi firm is Taxi Le Bourdonnec.

** Hotel Bellevue: (Port-Clos) Tel: 2 96 20 00 05. Good value especially for seafood - wine selection so-so - Prices increased for 2005. Able to eat outside with wonderful views. ?
La Vieille Auberge (Le Bourg) Tel 2 96 20 00 24: Choice not good and prices excessive - occasionally the only place left with room to spare! Service could be more friendly.
* Les Pecheurs: (Le Bourg) Tel 2 96 20 00 14. Small restaurant with pleasant garden at the back. The fishermen call here first!!! Very good value. About 6 rooms.
Le Chardon Bleu: Don't, unless you have to. (From a Brehat resident 2006).
