Pontoon B is supposed to be for visitors. This is the 2nd from the right. i.e. the long one in front of you as you go in the marina.

Pontoon A is on the left and B is in the middle of the photo

Pleased to report that the lovely lady harbourmaster Mlle Liliane Faustin is still there and still smiling. A wonderfull welcome as always and a great pleasure to be in such a peaceful marina - Richard 2009

Visited in September 2010. Entrance lights very difficult to see and the entrance is very narrow. You need 8m of water to get in and the approach is quite shallow. Suggest you approach at right angle to the entrance.

The tight entrance. Difficult to see the lights. Also difficult to see the letters on the pontoon poles

No lovely lady or lovely welcome. Difficult to work out which was pontoon B (the visitors pontoon) as the the letter are in small black writing. Only a couple of places available on pontoon B and no indication of which are for visitors. We ended up mooring on pontoon A. Pontoon B is the one in front of you as you go in. "A" is on the right closest to the marina wall.

Facilities seem old but OK.

The marina office (right) and facilities (left)

Harbour office was closed. No sign of life and it said to call the cafe. They did not know the code to the facilities so we had to ask others.

Managed to pay the next morning which was slow and painful.

Visited the small town of Plouer (approx 15 to 20 mins) for croissants but the Boulangerie was closed in September.

The boulangerie was closed for a few weeks

Make sure you turn up this road to Plouer (left one), otherwise it will be a long walk

Plouer has a very small entrance and the maximum size boat is no more that 40', assuming they have room. Opposite Plouer on the other side of the river is Mordreuc, basically just a slipway and a restaurant that is either always full or never open, ideal chance to pump up the dingy to transport you from the marina but use an outboard unless you have been doing lots of upper body training.

Restaurants

** LA VIEILLE AUBERGE: Tel: 02 96 86 89 86. Totally home made food at €15 by Célina and Christophe Briend in 16th C surrounds. Worth the 1 mile walk from the marina.

La Cale restaurant just 100 yds from marina. Superb food but do need to book as it is a favourite with the locals
** LA CALE : Tel: 02 96 86 97 24. At the slipway and with the "best moules in the world" plus other very agreeable menus. Good seating with river views and parking. VERY popular with locals do book a table. The price is right! They have added a proper restaurant service as well as the bar lunch style. Their moules are worth ormering for !!!! All of €11 for enormous portions with frites.
Sept 2010 report: Ate at the La Cale restaurant. Food was OK however the Entrecote steak was not what we would call Entrecote and the bernaise sauce tasted like mushroom sauce. A bit disappointing after such good reports.

Nice looking Pizza place in the town. Menu looked good but did not eat there.
