St Brieuc - Le Legue Marina

Now greatly improved with a large indoor nautical shopping centre - 2009

The marina at Le Legue has been refurbished and there are now some shops and cafés nearby and they have plans to build a 1,000 berth marina in two phases by 2010. (St Helier Boatowners newsletter 2008)

The area has undergone a transformation and whilst still industrial there are more restaurants (although most shut for summer holidays!!) and a new indoor nautical shopping mall converted from old warehouses. The harbourmaster and lock keepers are most welcoming and I think this could be worth a one night stop over or more if it takes your fancy. Check on times before entering as you could get neeped in and the lock closes for national and local holidays.

It is quite close to Saint Brieuc airport but I do not think there are flights to Guernsey or Jersey any more?
